Set to turn heads out of the starting gate and turn up the volume on television sets, BPM Racing complements white knuckle racing with a pulsating, diverse electronic soundtrack for a complete visual and audio driving experience. Riders will be rewarded for staying in rhythm with increased speeds, handling, and score multipliers, even getting the opportunity to be the DJ by adding their own samples and effects to various soundtracks.

Okay, this is the fifth Wiiware game that's implementing rythm in it's gameplay. I'm not complaining, mind you, but it does seem a bit odd, and slightly less original. Then again, there hasn't ever been a rythm-based racing game, as far as I'm aware of, so I'll be keeping my eye on this.

So I have to drive, AND move with the beat?
Sorry, I have enough trouble driving and trying to keep a rhythm.
Doing both at the same time? Well that's just not possible, even in video game land.

Is it me or all are the unique games coming only to wiiware. racing with spogs, a music rhythm game, and one with stars and gravity.

This one has officially piqued my interest. I'm a sucker for rythm-based games.
Now hopefully it won't suck.

That holds partially for me, since I really like the rhythm-based battles in Mother 3.

Hopefully this is a half-decent racing title
I'm looking forward to some more information / screenshots / videos

Could be the track moves to the beat of the music, if so, that'd be funkin awesome! See what I did there? I said "funkin" .... cause it's a MUSIC game! ....... I though it was funny ......
You know like the track spawns ramps and turns randomly to the beat (I'm saying random because if the turns and ramps were never in the same direction/hight and you never knew which was coming it would add mega replay value). Also, I think BPM (Beats per Minute) is a play on MPH. It IS a racing game after all.

This seems okay. I may check this out. It does also seem original, but I want a video.

Now that Evasive Space has been released, looks like this is up for release next. Question is when?

According to the site it's slated for release in "early 2009" which should mean anytime now.

Well actually, they told me they plan to release new info soon. Can't wait.
edit:
Why hasn't the name on this page been changed? Over a month ago, they confirmed the game underwent a name change and is now known as "Beat Runner".

This does sound interesting if they pull it off it could be an awesome title, if they don't it will crash and burn to the beat.
