Ongaku is the newest entry in the popular "rhythm action" genre.

Ongaku is a music based computer game. This genre of game is known as a 'Rhythm Action' game. The player controls a musical character called Ongaku. The player must hit notes in time to the music which are represented on screen as coloured gems, colour then disperses onto the background canvas and paints a picture. Any notes missed result in the creation of a Feedback Monster, which then damages Ongaku's health. The goal of the game is to paint a complete picture on the background canvas for each of the game's levels.
