Game Profile

Silver Star Reversi has two modes: 1-Player mode allows you to play a match against the computer opponent, and 2-Player mode allows you to play against another person.

In 1-Player mode, you can choose from five different computer opponents, turn the background music on or off, adjust sound effects and access in-game help features. During each match, you can also redo your last move, save the game at any point, or resign from the game. After a match has ended, you can review each move and resume the match from any point you choose.

It’s Reversi on WiiWare: what more do you want to know?

Similar to its sibling Silver Star Chess, the latest game from Agetec is a decent but barebones take on a classic board game. The game of Reversi dates back to late 19th century England and has been known in modern times as Othello. Two players take turns..

I expected it wouldn't be long until this got announced, seeing that Chess was rated a little while ago. I wonder what's next to be revealed.

Oh please don't come out on Monday... When I saw this was ESRB rated yesterday, not only was I surprised, but it had me worried as well.

@KnucklesSonic8
A bit late now but i'll say it anyway. This won't come out for awhile, at least, until Silver Star Chess is released, so don't worry yourself

lol, yeah, I was just worried that SS Chess AND Reversi would be released in the same update. These are two titles I'd rather wait longer to appear rather than earlier.

I'd honestly prefer Reversi first as i like playing it and the fact that Europe has Silver Star Chess has no Online Multi.

I wonder why some call the game Reversi and some call it Othello.....

The name "Othello" is trademarked, the name "Reversi" is not. Had the game been named "Silver Star Othello", licensing fees would've had to be paid.

People call the game by the name they're used to it being referred to as, which is usually the name on the box of the particular release of the game they own/have played.
