Super Meat Boy is a tough-as-nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who's trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil baddie.
Our meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of chainsaws and through crumbling caves to save his damsel in distress. Super Meat Boy brings the old school difficulty of classic hardcore retro titles, combines them with current generation technology and graphics and then streamlines them down to straight forward, fast reaction platforming. Ramping up in difficulty from hard to soul-crushing, Super Meat Boy will drag Meat boy though haunted hospitals, salt factories and even hell itself. And if 100+ single-player levels weren't enough, you can also take advantage of multiplayer game modes, a level editor and tonnes of unlockable secrets, warp zones and hidden characters.
- Take on over 150 levels in story mode, spanning five chapters!
- Get together with friends and enjoy co-op and versus modes
- Over 20 unlockable and playable characters from popular indie titles such as Braid, Alien Hominid, BIT.TRIP. and Gish.
- Create your own challenges with a full Level Editor!

Yup, I'm a veggy myself, but this looks rather intresting. So long as it's not over-priced, (i.e. Under 1000 Points) I'll get this for sure.

I need help. I just got my wii online like 2 weeks ago and ive already downloaded a lot of games. I have 180 space left for other games and i just got a memory card. so when i purchase a game over 180 does the rest automatically transfer to the sd card?

@WiiwareFan09: No, go to the "data management" section of the Wii options menu, select the game you wish to transfer to an SD card (under the Channels menu) and click "copy". Once it's copied, you can delete it from your Wii and copy it back or re-download it at a later date for free.

O_o ...I'm all for platformers on the Wii, but this seems to borderline funny and absurd (like Ninjabread Man before everyone found out was a terrible game that was). Nonetheless, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and see how this story plays out.

I can't stop playing the flash version of the game. Man this game is addictive. I can't wait for Super Meat Boy on WiiWare. This one has jumped up to my #1 most anticipated WiiWare title.

I need more info (particularly from ESRB's forthcoming summary) and some proper footage before I decide if I should be excited for this or not.

Hopefully they can take full advantage of their Level editor mode, since there are many things that one can do with it. To me, the ability to send levels to friends and the ability to play a level of the day (like in SSBB) would be extremely cool and increase my already very high interest for this game.

I read an interview in n-gamer mag with the wacky makers of this game. The game sounds pretty hardcore, which will appeal to most on here I imagine. The intervw suggested to me that it wouldn't be the kind of game I would like, though still be a game that could be highly rated

The flash game is kinda funny and has some potential despite being entirely infuriating IMO, will keep an eye out for this though, its a fun idea.
