I knew My Aquarium would do well. But why Pong Toss? I would rather get Plattchen then Pong Toss. Anyway I contributed to MM9's success

Why oh why is Pong Toss still so high up? My thought on Strong Bad is that the sales are probably about as strong as the 1st but can't compete with Megaman (who could) or fishy screen savers.

At least Groovin' Blocks is holding strong. Good puzzlers sell, bad puzzlers- Potpourrii and Plattchen- don't.

It's about time this list made sense. Mega man 9 deserves it's high position. Unlike some of the other garbage that seems to creep up to the top every week. No other Wii ware game has had a true effort put into it like Mega man. Here's hoping that other companies will take notice and give us what we want. More 2-D revivals and less crap.

I don't know I feel kind of sad for some reason that Plättchen: Twist 'n' Paint has been such an epic failiure (its remorse from laughing at it so)...I guess it is as Pop shows...make it simple and people will bite even if people will belittle it for being simple.

Pong Toss dropped another spot and SPOGS died happy for Strongbad 2 and MM9's success but not happy at DYC falling to No.7-NOO!

It's kind of strange that Platchen hasn't even entered the top 20 in the USA at 1000 points while in Europe (I'm not sure if the popular list is for the whole Europe or each country has its own) went up from 13 to 11 in the last few days at 1500 points.

Still, the game and the people that worked on it don't deserve to be laughed at (a pretty childish attitude btw) as the game, at least around here in Europe, is having moderate success even with its problems and bugs which hopefully they'll eventually fix.

Well as long as the worst game ever Platchen and SPOGS don't come on the NA wiiware list will be saved you just have to get rid of Pong Toss now and then your list will be clean of bad games, YAY!

Can't believe Potpourii still hasn't hit the charts, though hardly anyone seemed that interested in it and with the bad reviews on top of that. Then Again, the arrival of Mega Man 9 destroyed a lot of chance it had to enter the charts

I was eager to see this list. Mega Man 9 is #1! (Which is odd considering the game's title. ) It's good to know that we're not alone in the field of good-gamery.

Considering most of the people on this board are children that's not surprising.

Also since children can't drink alcohol it's not surprising that they don't understand why Pong Toss (aka BEER Pong) still sells well. No mess and it only costs about as much as 2-3 beer (and 1 in certain bars). So what if it's shallow. Most drinking games are.

Also not surprising that MM9 is selling so well, we all saw that one comming. It will be up there for quite some time I think.

FINALLY! A list that makes actual sense. And yes, Mega Man made it to the top 5 after some... 8 hours or so of its release. I was quite surprised, even if I saw it coming (I obviously have the U.S. as my country, thus I get its list).

Pong Toss, wow.

Hopefully all the puzzlers will drop down once Tetris is out. It's obvious you won't do much with Mega Man being released with you on the same day, eh?

About friggin' time SPOGS fell off the charts. That game's been on there for far too long, and thus, I do a Mexican hat dance on it's grave! XD

I expected MM9 to do really well, but I'm a bit surprised to see it at #1 so soon. Yes, it's one of the most hyped-up and anticipated games on Wiiware, but I would think that all the soccer moms who DLed My Aquarium would be turned off by it's high difficulty. Perhaps they don't know...

hopefully Megaman 9 stays up there for a loooooong time! I am very, very, very, VERY glad that spogs is gone now. Maybe the success of Megaman 9 will generate some very good retro games.

It's very impressive that Groovin' Blocks is in the middle for quite some time. Note that the game was just announced the weekend following it's release. Plus the game's fun too.

I find it amazing that Pong Toss still has all your feathers in a ruffle.
The game is everywhere, every bar that i've been too that has a Wii has Pong Toss playing. Now I just got an email from them that they are going to be featured at the San Diego Film festival.
Name one other Wiiware game that can or has been doing what Pong Toss is doing. Love em or hate em, they've been paving new ground.

It was so predictable that MM9 was gonna be #1, and it'll stay there for awhile.
Entering the charts it's gonna be more and more difficult each week, not so good games, as Plättchen or Potpurrii, won't get up there easily, especially after other anticipated games, like Bomberman Blast, come out. Hopefully, with the release of a few other good games Pong Toss will be gone.

Okay, I am friggin' tired of all the Plättchen bashing. Okay, I get it, the game is cluttered. Give it a rest. You've all likely made it so that the developer won't attempt a better game. Why bother, if everybody's gonna hate them? Geez, the hate wasn't nearly as bad towards Pong Toss and SPOGS Racing. And I bet, had it not gone up against Mega Man 9, it would've been able to make an appearance on the charts, and the hate would be even worse. "ZOMG, what are you doing on the effing charts, get off there, you don't belong, people are idiots for buying you!"

Besides, it's only been two days since it released, and against the likes of Mega Man 9, at that. Maybe by next week, it'll have had enough time to enter the charts. I know I'm gonna get it, simply to show my support to the developer. Don't give up on making games. Use this experience to make something better.

I'd love to see Pong Toss drop off the chart and desentigrate in a pool of acid... AND TAKE "MY POKEMON RANCH" WITH IT!

Man, Megaman9 in just like 3 days became most popular? Looks like I wasnt the only fanboy waiting forever for this game to come out, and getting it immediately when they had a chance. I am glad that My Aquarium is still looking good, and I am still not sure whether or not to get it.

@KnucklesSonic8-I'm with you and I am a strong supporter of plättchen. Bought it and was the best 1000 points I ever spent(but sector 2-5 is so freaking HARD).

But, on topic, it looks like the charts are how they should be except for a select few in my opinion.

Good to see Mega Man 9 so high up on its first week, hope it does well for the rest of the month( maybe even the whole of next month), might convince Capcom to take more risks( like a new Strider game).

SPOGs was a game that at least tried to appeal to gamers.... and failed miserably. Same with Plattchen.

Pong Toss was a game that tried to appeal to.. well.. college students. And it succeeded. Why people hate the fact that it sells is beyond me.

As for My Pokemon Ranch, how exactly does it differ from My Aquarium. They both even have the "My *** " title. Why do people hate pokemon screensavers, but absolutely rave about fish screensavers? Sheep love to follow the hate I guess...

I have often wonder about My Aquarium's praise too. Don't think I'd say, "Sheep love to follow the hate..." but hey, that's just because I have a higher opinion of sheep.

Well, my hopes for MM9 to fail were absolutely dashed. Oh well, it is fun to hope for the impossible from time to time.

Sheep just follow the carrot...or however you want to put it. Me, I buy the games I wanna buy. What other people say (outside of unanimous reviews) has no effect on me.

According to the list up there both My Pokémon Ranch and DFYC were in 4th place last week...which obviously can't be.

It must be due to My Pokémon Ranch not only requiring Pokémon from Diamond, Pearl, and Platinuim (I think), but also due to My Pokémon Ranch being rated as a game.
You make a lot of sense. Why My Pokémon Ranch should NOT stay high if a similar My Aquarium is #2?

@Kriqz. There's a number of reasons why I think My Aquarium is better-recieved than My Pokemon Ranch:

A. It costs 1000 points as opposed to 500. Many people (including me) view paying $10 for a game that has no actual gameplay is a ripoff.

B. Pokemon Ranch is more viewed as a game than My Aquarium, which is viewed as a relaxing, virtual auarium and nothing else.

C. There are many Pokemon haters out there (or people who deny that they like them. ). there's less animosity towards fish.

D. My Aquarium's fish are a bit more pleasing to look at than the ugly, blocky Mii-like Pokemon of MPR.

But that's just what I think...

@Marky V.-san. I've bashed Plaatchen a lot too (I couldn't resist), but I do hope BPlus eventually makes a sequel that adresses the first game's problems and simplifies the mechanics. It had potential to be a good game, but said potential was wasted.

As expected, Mega Man 9 is ranked #1. I remember checking the top 20 at the end of monday and was amazed it was already at #1. I expect it to be #1 for a LONG time.
