Incredible Technologies, developers of Target Toss Pro: Bags, has just announced their brand new WiiWare title Carnival King.
If you've ever wanted to experience the thrill of an old-fashioned carnival shooting gallery, this is the game for you.

When playing Carnival King – the new WiiWare big top shooter from Incredible Technologies – you’ll believe you’re feeling the rumble of the rides and the magic of the midway.
Carnival King is an all-ages target shooting game that combines exciting 3D graphics and an enticing carnival sound track to create a fast-paced and challenging gaming experience.
Players choose from three theme parks each with four distinct locales. Bonus rounds reward those who excel at speed, timing, strategy and accuracy. Competitors will be able to gauge their play against others through local leaderboards available on their Wii™ and through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection™ that displays the top scores shot in North America. One or two players can compete to dethrone the Carnival King.
“We’re giving the player a lot of bang for their buck,” said Andy Kniaz VP of business development at IT. “When you add it all up there are 12 different shooting stages and 3 bonus rounds all with a unique game play mechanic. Each stage will test the player in a different way across a different theme.”
The game play experience adapts to the skill level of the player. The smarter, faster and more accurate the player is, the further they will progress. As the targets and speed ramp up, the game becomes more compelling and competitive for everyone.
There are individual leaderboards for each park and each locale within a park allowing players to see how they rank against friends and family as well as others across the continent. The game appeals to both the casual player and the hardcore player. It’s a deceptively captivating and entertaining game.
A practice mode allows players to get up to speed quickly before tackling the real deal and Carnival King features three difficulty levels designed so everyone in the family can have fun.
Just as they did for Target Toss Pro: Bags, their first WiiWare title, IT partnered with n-Space, the savvy software developer behind GameCube’s Geist and Nintendo DS’ Call of Duty 4.
Carnival King will be available this summer through the WiiWare Channel at a reasonable price point that everyone can enjoy.“For much less than the cost of a retail store game, friends and families can have hours and hours of fun and excitement. FIRST Carnival Games clone on Nintendos FIRST original title downloadable service. It could be ONE subpar minigame collection. I cant watch the trailer with my dsi. I will look terribly stupid if someone, most likely Corbie gets FIRST.

Can we start punishing people for this "FIRST" crap?
I'm not sure how this'll perform, the last party game on WiiWare sunk pretty quickly. Maybe people are already overfed with minigame collections. I don't think "casual" gamers are really only into minigames, remember that many of them joined gaming before, at a time when there were no minigames, only arcade cabinets.

I think it looks cool. I love these carnival shooting games. And the visuals and presentation seem good. Now of course I'll have to reserve final judgement until I get my hands on it, but so far so good.

This does look cool, now that I see the trailer, as long the guy who announces stuff doesnt make an appearance in the game I might get. Online leaderboards is the best part.

I love shooting games, especially in the arcades with a gun. So it's a perfect match for the Wii. But I don't think I will get this. Looks a bit too casual and too minigames based. I rather get that Wild West Shooting game on WiiWare. But I'll wait for the review. Perhaps it could change my mind.

Actually looks promising! And their experience with TTPB is a plus also. Wi-fi Leaderboards is definitely a great addition too. Plus, they're aiming for a Summer release too. The "reasonable price point" tag is appealing also as is the idea of having gameplay tailored to a person's skill level. If it's 500 or 600 Points, it's a definite buy from me (or maybe 700 to match the price of TTPB). Surely this'll get eaten up by those who enjoy Carnival Games.

I've been looking for a new classic shooter since I beat Wild West Guns. This looks pretty good. I suspect that it's not so much a bunch of mini-games but progressive levels.

If this is less than 1000, especially if its 500ish, I'll probably get it since it has a lot more to offer than Wild West Guns which I enjoyed although I didnt think there was enough for 1000.

@linktothefuture: Sure this is a zapper-game, like Wild West Guns was - but that western game was way to easy. I beated it in less than three hours completely. It wasn´t challenging, and the lack of online leaderbords kept me away from that game. And you couldn´t choose the levels, and there was just one player save slot, so no one else on the familiy could play it. Pretty bad for a family console.
This one here looks much more better. Lets see whats the price. I don´t pay 1000 points again for games like this. If it comes for about 500 or 700, i might get it.

I had Cocoto Magic Circus which was a carnival style shooter. I enjoyed that but ended up selling it for economic reasons. I always thought it'd be better served as a wiiware title. Lo and behold we have Carnival King in a sort of similar style to the aforementioned game!

I'm not interested in carnival shooters, and I kinda want to call this subpar, but it's doing everything right. 2-player, online leaderboards, zapper compatibility. If you are interested in shooters like this, this looks great, but not for me.
