Nintendo might not think that Treasure's Sin and Punishment 2: Star Successor is worth the effort to bring over to Oceania, but somebody sure does.
That somebody is retailer JB HiFi, who have taken it upon themselves to stock the game in limited quantities for sale exclusively through their brick-and-mortar stores throughout Australia.
We liked the game quite a lot in our review and found it to be essential playing for the shooter crowd. Even more so if you're into weird anime stories and giant exploding things.
A release date isn't set, or advertised at least (the Web site is content with a big "coming soon!" badge), but you might want to hit up the JB HiFi site to find out which stores will stock Treasure's treasure and badger them accordingly.

Hang on, this never got released in Oceania?! What a complete an utter injustice. Somebody throw Nintendo of Australia out NOW and get a new team in, please.
Meh, I'm going to sell my copy towards M: OM
Yeah it's such a crime Australia didn't get this. It seems pretty messed up over there when it comes to releases (arn't several games even banned?).
I think this is why region free is important. Why should you be denied such a quality title just because of where you live? If Nintendo doesn't think your market is worth the effort to release decent games in, they should at least allow the option to get them from overseas.
Australians reading this, pick this game up! It is a great action game! If you miss out on Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, you'll be missing out on one of the greatest Wii games of 2010!
sigh Nintendo Australia need to get it together. They never fail to disappoint. @3 Some games are banned, but the real issue with the releases here are localisation, and Nintendo Australia is just FAIL.
Oh, btw some 3rd party developers can't afford to bring their games here, it costs more to get a game rated here by the OFLC then PEGI or ESRB... Also the reason why we miss out on games.
_Australians unite...and to JB Hifi with you!
The game is unmissably awesome...
I love JB Hi-Fi. The only store to sell Punch-Out, the only store to sell a Boy and his Blob, and their prices are heaps cheap as well.
Somewhat good news for you Aussies, but it's still not the best scenario ever (i.e. Nintendo of Australia actually get their act together and keep up with other regions' releases).
I suppose it's not too bad that you're completely locked out, since you can still import UK games that will work, but it's not ideal by any stretch of the imagination.
@ Aviator: A Boy and his Blob isn't exclusive to JB. I've seen quite a few copies at Kmart as well. The fact that it's an obvious import though shows that the major retailers didn't have any faith in it selling.
@12.Chibi_Link: Other retailers sell imported stuff all the time. It can't be that big of a deal.
We can always get it off British Amazon anyway.
Mighty Ape in New Zealand started importing it a couple of months ago. Super fun
There are quite a few games we don't get in the Down-Underverse...I guess they think it's not worth the effort. Stupid Nintendo : )
