It looks like We can finally take our hands off Strong Bad and get back to the other Wiiware and VC games, now that the series has finally come to an end.

I just couldn't get into Strong Bad so I'm glad that's over. Hopefully we can see some good games released soon. I miss being bombarded with too many games to keep up with.

So much hate for this series! Come on, it was awesome (especially Episode 4, and now this one, I'm sure)! Most of the very-small-amount-of-not-crap on WiiWare thus far...

I don't think anyone hates the series. If anything I think most people loved these games. I actually went to the Strong Bad site and watched a couple videos. I was hoping to get really into it so I could get the games but it just wasn't my thing. I hope they release more games in the future for fans of the series. I'm just glad there's more room for other games for now. I might even give Strong Bad another chance once I finish up some of the games I've already started.

I seem to remember everyone rejoicing that Telltale was releasing a series of episodic Adventure games on WiiWare just a few months back... Did everyone remember why they don't play Adventure games anymore or what?

Personally, I welcome variety, even if that means more of a somewhat archiac genre. It's just too bad that Telltale wasn't able to do break the crystallized mold. (Although they apparently had little intention of doing so.)

As far as Strong Bad clogging the pipeline, what's wrong with a little delayed gratification?

@Wiiloveit: I totally agree about WOG; I'm worried as Wikipedia says it's due Spring 2009. I can't wait that long! Especially after seeing some gameplay today at college; it seems like this is one of the games that is almost universally loved and will go down as a classic with other games such as Pac-Man and GoldenEye.

I hope WOG gets a sequel and that 2D Boy keep up the quality of their games.

As for Strong Bad, I don't like the Flash series so none of the games have interested me. It would be great to get more episodic games on WiiWare.

Loved all the games, but still, glad it comes to an end. I really don't have the extra money or the extra energy it takes to go a couple dozen miles to the nearest bigger city by train to buy a Wii Points card (and movies, music, games and other things, I mean, if I came this far I'll have to buy something) and bam, 50-70 or something euros and hours of highschooler's oh-so-precious time succesfully wasted. The series was great, but I think it's time for the Chapmans (Chapmen?) to get back to the website and Telltalers to other projects. I don't want a second season, at least not in a while.

I think WOG got an award for best independant game for the 2008 VGA's.

I gave up on Maboshi a long time ago. And after seeing it in action, I'm not overly interesting in it. I'm about puzzled out.

And for me well i`ve been puzzled out for several months now.

I don't get it when people say they are puzzled out, or anything to that effect...

I just like good games. Any game, any genre, any time. As long as the game's good, it's really that simple.

It doesn't help that I'm not much of a puzzle game fan as it is. If it's something really great like a World of Goo, I'll enjoy it, otherwise it normally gets passed over by me unless I have to review it.

I say bring on the shooters. The WiiWare service is a perfect outlet for them and it might keep me off the Saturn and PC Engine for awhile. Plus I can pretty much guarantee you that I'll never be shootered-out!

ok its like playing 3 different named games but they all have the same gameplay and objective. Puzzlers in otherwords are getting really old and thats because there is so many on Wiiware.

Huzzah! The last SB game for a looooong time I hope. Well, I guess it's back to enjoying more of the usual obscure, less-than-average quality puzzle games and half-baked remakes that make the WiiWare service so memorable.

I personally don't really care if World of Goo does come out this year, nor next year for that matter. I downloaded the demo on Steam and thought it was ok. But in the end - regardless of its production values - a puzzle game is still just a puzzle game and I'm getting tired of constantly working what little grey matter is left in my brain.

My only hope is that High Voltage's racer will appear sooner rather than later. That way the less sensible (i.e. fun) side of my brain can get some exercise too.

I will either agree with Drake's list, or swap 4 and 5. I'll have to play 5 before I can say...

And as this message list continues, you can clearly see why I said everybody (or the majority, at least) hates (or at least dislikes or wants the end of) SBCG4AP. Personally, I'd be happy if they kept right on making them (I'm one of the rare Adventure game nuts, especially when they're the comedy type), as they add up to the majority of the worth-while WiiWare games, imo.

I'm a bit too finicky for that type of attitude. It's like first-person shooters. I hate them. Even the greats like Halo 3, I absolutely can't stand. I'm glad gamers love them, but they're not for me.

I personally like FPSs, Fighting, Platforming, Racing, Strategy RPG's, and the occasional Shooter but I hate puzzlers. The only puzzlers I like are World of Goo and crosswords. So I'm hoping we do get to see more variety on WiiWare from now on. That is wishful thinking though and I don't see it happening too soon.

FPS are great but their getting old just like puzzlers are.
only FPS i like are Metroid Primes, and Call of Duty.
But that upcoming game The Conduit looks amazing. Anyone agree!?

@Corbie - I'm not crazy about FPSs either. I like one very occasionally, but it is basically... every other genre that I like. I'm also not crazy about RPGs. I like them, but very few catch my attention. The ones that I can manage to play I usually love, but it's not common.

Then again maybe I'm just falling for the hype...

I prefer 3rd person shooters to FPS. Take it a step further, and stuff like Ratchet & Clank is the BEST! But I generally like almost anything but most sports and racing games (exceptions for Mario and Sega sports and Mario Kart). I generally don't like shooters (side or top scrolling) or fighters much either (with rare exceptions for both as well). Asides from that, I'll take Adventure, Action, Action-Adventure, RPG, Strategy (even though I suck at most of them, I still play a few), Platformer, Board Game, GOOD puzzlers (there's plenty of bad ones out there, y'know), and various weird games some would describe as "casual" (like Brain Challenge on Xbox 360 or Crosswords DS).

Interesting how this suddenly turned into a discussion of gaming tastes, huh?

@Drake: I feel it should still be pointed out that episode one is still a great place for newbies to start. I actually preferred 1 to 2. My list: 4>3>1>2.

I have never ever seen Homestar Runner before I invested in this series, but I instantly fell in love with the characters. It was a great ride.

I'd never heard of the site until the announcement for the games series came up on WiiWare World, but I became an instant fan. I was annoyed to learn that my best friend was already a fan but had been holding out on me...

Yikes, it does certainly seem like there is a bit of hate on this great series. I have only played the demo of this episode, but I've played and beaten 1, 2, and 4. Dangeresque 3 (episode 4) is my favourite and had me laughing the whole time.

I have enough points for ONE Strong Bad game, and I'm wondering which one is the best? 1,2,3,4, or 5?

I'm leaning towards Dangeresque, but I really want to play this one, too...

@Matt Walker: I'd say my favorate is 4, then 2, and 5 refers to the previous games a fair bit, so you're ebst to start either at the begining or with Dangeresque.
