Ladies and gentlemen, the weekend.
For a slightly quieter one, this week was packed full of highlights here on Nintendo Life. The August Pokémon Presents happened and it will undoubtedly go down as one of the showcases of all time — but we did get a release date for the Scarlet and Violet DLC and two new NSO games, which is good. Quake II finally came to Switch after rumours a-plenty and we even got the surprise announcement that Red Dead Redemption would be coming to Nintendo's little console — who would'a thunk it?
Elsewhere we penned a love letter to one of Tears of the Kingdom's late-game areas, celebrated Dead Cells' five-year anniversary and had a little giggle at the newly-released Pokémon Center Wiglett plush.
As for reviews, we took to the gridiron in Legend Bowl, which we found to show potential but it's in need of some TLC and we also went for some monster-catching combat with Adore which is a lot of fun but let down by its Switch performance.
Now we're ready to chill out with a bit of gaming. Have a read through what some of our wonderful team are up to and then let us know your plans in the comments.

So I'll be continuing my playthrough of Luigi's Mansion 3 this weekend. I'm making good progress on it, but I'm taking my time. I love it so much - it's comfortably the best in the series, and it does honestly make me question why Nintendo would bother bringing the second entry to Switch when a superior option is right there, ready and waiting.
Over on the PS5, I'm still playing Red Dead Redemption 2, buying myself some pretty hats, eating tins of beans, the usual. For a PS4 game, it really is an almost overwhelmingly engrossing experience; one that not even some PS5 games can match at this stage. Good on you, Rockstar.

Predictable as ever, I have finally come back to Tears of the Kingdom. I beat the main story in the first few weeks so now, after some much-needed time away from the game, I am finally getting around to the other 99% of the tasks that I am yet to complete. That being said, I've hardly crossed anything off my list so far. I'm just having the best time strolling around, visiting any Sky Islands that I was yet to explore, and lighting up more areas of the Depths as I dive down to search for armour.
God, I'm going to be playing this game forever, aren't I?

I’ve finally started my long-awaited playthrough of Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. The problem is, playing this in the evenings means that I often go to bed with about a thousand thoughts in my head. This is going to be another wild ride, I can tell.
Otherwise, I’m playing Cassette Beasts on and off and really enjoying it so far, and as if I need more on my plate, the Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV is back so I’ve returned to Eorzea temporarily. The grind never ends…
Enjoy your weekends, folks!

Will you look at that? It’s the weekend once again! You know what sounds like a good way to spend my time away from work? Gaming - I know, shocker. Normally the weekend is reserved for those couch potato moments, controller in hand, snacks and beverages at the ready. Not this time, no. This weekend I’ll be (metaphorically) binning the snacks and pounding some of those sweat-inducing workouts Ring Fit Adventure has to offer. That’s right! I’m going to get absolutely shredded in just two days. You’ll see, mom and dad! I’ll be as thicc as a rehydrated Ganondorf

Still having ridiculous amounts of fun with GigaBash, it just never gets old if you’re a Power Stone/Kaiju fan. There is also a great reason why the surprise Arcade Archives Mad Shark release plays a lot like a long-lost Raiden sequel: It was developed by ex-Seibu Kaihatsu staff and it shows, it's a scorcher! Some more PSP action this week with the jump to Ace Combat: Joint Assault (which has nothing to do with natural herbs) and the extremely underrated gem Gladiator Begins. This thing needs a remake/reboot/re-release on Switch.
Mandatory game of the week is Quake II! While Quakeworld was all the rage back in the day, I and most of my mates only had dial-up modems by the time of its popularity peak. But when Quake II hit retail we all had cable and 3D accelerators on our pentium PCs so this was a huge part of my youth playing it online night after night. To see this new version with a huge new campaign plus the Quake II 64 campaign throw-in at this insanely low price is simply irresistible. Sorry Splatoon 3, you’re out, Q2 is back in baby! Pass the Railgun, please.
Do your weekend gaming plans match any of ours? Drop the game that you will be maining in the poll below and then take to the comments to let us know what else you have on the cards.

I am continuing with DooM Eternal on the Switch. Currently I am in the Super Gore Nest.
On the PS4 I am progressing trough Super Castlevania 4. Currently on Level 7.
Happy gaming everyone!
Nintendo Switch:
NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition – completed few quests. Finished Route C. Got Ending C. In total, 82 hours in.
Tales of Vesperia REMASTERED – escaped from Zaphias and now in... Deidon Fort. Grinded EXP and farmed resources.
Persona4 The ULTIMAX ULTRA SUPLEX HOLD – played Versus Mode for 4 times as Adachi. Got A rank. Adachi is OP, imo.
Android:
Terraria – playing in co-op with my best friend. Started new world with almost the same specs. Now, world is... Well... Medium-sized. Previously, world was small-sized.
Well... That's all what I've played on this week. Have a nice gaming week, everyone.
This weekend will be all about Zelda Tears of the Kingdom! And maybe some MK8 Deluxe online with friends 😉
I'm playing World's End Club and it is absolutely fantastic, it's criminal that the reviews for it are so low. So many twists and emotional moments, how could anyone not love it? I'm also playing Pokemon Kalos Crystal I've been away for a few days so I was unable to play it but I've not long arrived in Kanto, trying to fll out some evolutions in my dex.
Alana, I hope you enjoy your Zero Escape sessions! I played VLR last year, Zero Time Dilemma a couple of months ago and then cycled back to where it all began in 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, which I’ve just finished. Haven’t had enough yet so AI: The Somnium Files is in my Switch right now. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is in my other Switch 😅 and been playing some Trails in the Sky on Vita this morning too. Plenty of epic stories on the go 🥰
For the Switch… maybe I’ll try to get into the Pokémon Trading Card for the Gameboy that was added recently. I’ll mess around with that Disney Illusion Island game too.
Still playing Remnant: From the Ashes (30 hours in).
Pros: Fun gun play and good level design - fast loading times when you die - runs well on Switch
Neutral: Lots and lots of grinding (especially when played solo) - but at least it's really fun to do
Cons: Long loading times between levels - some minor bugs - nothing game breaking at all though
Finished The Guise and Ori Will of the Wisps.
2 great Metroidvania's.
Going from one Metroidvania to another.
Started Ghost Song, really enjoying the slower pace from the last few Metroidvania's I've played lately.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Beat Catherine Full Body and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on the Switch the past week.
I’m currently playing DC SuperHero Girls: Teen Power and I’m meaning to play Ghost Trick next.
I’m also finally back from vacation to France so I’m planning on playing Herc’s adventure on Ps5 and A Short Hike on Xbox Series X
Also will finish up Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 before the next season in 2 weeks.
Stumbled back into Rogue Legacy 2 after an extended hiatus away from the game and, gasp, actually managed to beat some bosses! The influx of new goodies and areas this unveiled saw me pretty swiftly back out of the endeavour in sheer dread and return to Yakuza 0. And also that one rhythm game on the Switch with the birds in it and you are also a bird. You know the one. Super Bird Buddies or what have you. It's adorable and you get to jam out with a woodpecker, so sue me.
Playing baldur's gate 3.
Play Octopath Traveler 2 as well.
Pikmin 4 and Quake 2 for me this weekend.
Edit: Forgot the Splatfest was this weekend, so definitely a bit of Splatoon 3 too.
Won't be playing much this weekend (or the next one for that matter) since I'm currently enjoying a holiday away in Spain, but in the little free time I do have, I started up Bowser's Fury and have been having a pretty good time overall (it's not quite as revolutionary as I was expecting but still very fun nonetheless). I'm also currently working my way through Splatoon 3's newest Splatfest (Team Fame FTW) and may also tackle some stuff on the NSO library like Pokemon TCG, Sin and Punishment and Mario Advance 2 depending on how things pan out. Overall, it's be a pretty light weekend for me but one that I know for a fact I'm going to have a great time in nonetheless!
I’m still enjoying my time with TOTK, I’ve finally unlocked all of the Lightroots in the Depths. I’ll complete the remaining side quests before slapping the ish out of Gannon.
I’ve kinda had my hand in a bit of everything.
GRID AUTOSPORT has been a pleasant surprise. I’ve also been playing THE MESSENGER…shout out to the NES Ninja Gaiden series! Splatoon 3 for some Splatfest and getting after that backlog.
Strains on deck…Island Pink, Melted Strawberries and some Chocolope!
Happy Gaming!! Life is short don’t forget to have fun!!
We have friends visiting this weekend, so gaming time will be limited. I'm hoping to make a start on Quake 2, though.
Also, I picked up a used copy of Forza Motorsport 3 thos week. I still had my save file from 2012, so am now on a mission to get the last achievement I missed back "in the day".
Dragon Quest Builders 2 and Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel.
I also watched a bit of Evo last week and picked up Street Fighter 6 on Steam Deck. It’s great, the solo mode reminds me of Yakuza. I also showed my son a bit of Dragon Ball FighterZ this morning.
I’m still taking a hiatus from TOTK, so started Bayonetta 3. Awesome so far (even if it feels like a different game with every chapter - seriously, how many different control schemes do you have to learn!?). Will also continue with Oracle of Ages
Been playing Fallout New Vegas it's been fun but 30 hours in I think I'm starting to get a little bit overwhelmed by all these sidequest, I think I'll just start homing in towards the main quest.
After I am done with Splatoon 3's Splatfest, I will continue with Tears Of The Kingdom. This game is so great. I am not joking, I felt so much joy playing it, I felt a little bit like crying.
Happy gaming everyone and I wish you a great Splatfest!
This week I will be mostly playing
Beyond Good & Evil
Tears of the Kingdom
Time was I’d have made an effort to join the Splatfest, but I find myself really unenthused by the themes lately
Quake 2 remastered mainly but also picked up a couple of Dreamcast games in Resident Evil 2 and Ecco the Dolphin, oh and the boy wants to go through Kirby Forgotten Land with me as well
Immortals Fenyx Rising once it finishes downloading. I just beat Toyko Mirage Sessions #FE Encore the other day. Quite enjoyed it and now I'm challenging myself to play a game I wouldn't ordinarily play, so I hope Fenyx turns out good.
I'll have the house to myself for half a day for the first time in a very long time, so I bought Quake II to binge during that time. Old school FPS games are like a comfort food for me, and Quake II is one that I've missed, so I'm really looking forward to it.
I may also play some more Crosscode this weekend. I'm at the first main dungeon and there is a LOT of puzzles, but I'm not overwhelmed yet. I've actually been having a lot of fun so far.
Oh, and possibly some Splatoon 3 splatfest. My daughter picked Team Love, so naturally that's what I'll be going with. I know I could pick Team Money, since Shiver normally wins, but Love is obviously more important for my family, so I'll be representing.
Not seeing my friends tonight, maybe we'll meet tomorrow.
Apart from that, I'll continue with my schedule of alternating between Tears of the Kingdom (flew to all remaining towers and the Akkala Lab, 1 Temple, 54 Shrines, 13 Lightroots and 81 Koroks down), Persona 5 (started the third and final infiltration of the sixth Palace), Engage (did Corrin's Paralogue, 15 Chapters, 7 Paralogues, all Divine Paralogues and all Fell Xenologue down), Scarlet (defeated the Earth Titan, 6 Gyms, 4 Titans and 3 Team Stars down), Advance Wars (tutorial and 22 missions down, 10 S, 7 A, 4 B and 1 C ranks) and Pikmin 4 (days 5 and 6, first area 100%)!
Currently playing Cathedral. 8bit-ish looking metroidvania with graphic and music very much inspired by shovel knight. Which is a good thing
@Nintendencies Probably because of the platforming sections (personally didn't mind those that much, but I can see where people are coming from about them), but other than that World's End Club is absolutely fantastic indeed!
As far as this weekend goes, I'll finally be starting up Immortals Fenyx Rising, which I got as a Father’s Day gift from my kids. Beyond that, I've also been playing Disney Illusion Island, with the wife as well. Of course, there is also Pokemon Go, with the Froakie community day event happening this weekend.
Well the other week I got PW4, and I liked it a lot! Honestly I’m surprised that I haven’t gotten brunt out yet, hyrule did pretty quickly but I wonder if that because I’d didn’t understand it like I do now or how the game was on my eyes.
Either way I got three because people say it’s better and so far, I think pw4 gameplay wise, but something about three, I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s the roster, the more leveled gameplay, but I think I definitely like it more, the combos feel more varied too as you have triangle combos and a R1 move which four didn’t have for some reason.
Soo yeah that’s what I’m playing this week lol.
I am currently on vacation in France and without my Switch. So the only thing I'm playing is Pokemon Sleep.
I’m still chipping away at Tears of the Kingdom and, after 260 hours of play, I’m finally on home straight to finishing it. Currently 109 shrines, 60 light roots and all four temples down. I’m still playing completely blind and have no idea what’s ahead… and I’m loving every last second of it!
Even though I beat the final boss in Zelda, there's still so much Zelda for me to play. Over 100 hours in and I went to the canyon for the first time in my play through.
I'm currently playing
Switch - The Strange Brigade
Xbox - Just finished Halo Infinite Campaign
PS5 - Cyber Punk 2077 finishing side missions up.
I’d like to finish Venba. I started it on Monday and just… haven’t played anything since then. Outside that, I dunno. I’d like to play something, but I’m in this weird lull right now where I’m not actually playing anything in specific and sort of feel like I’m just waiting for Starfield right now or Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5.
I started playing Red Dead Redemption a few days ago, so I’ll be going through that on XBox. On the Switch I’ll probably play Mario Kart with the family.
I'm playing through Metroid Prime Remaster.
Progress is a bit slow, I am spending a lot of time going back and forth, searching and analysing the maps. Too bad there's no markers like in Dread. Still I'm enjoying myself. It's not the kind of game I would normally play, but it's nice for a change.
@Picola-Wicola It takes a while to collect all of the demons and get used to them, but that adds a lot of replay value to the game. Bayonetta 3 is just so much fun.
Wrapping up my second play through of Cyberpunk 2077 (in time to take a break before Phantom Liberty)
And tuning into the Splatfest. Team MONEY BABY
I got 2 games at THQNORDIC sale on STEAM:
(Prices in my Country)
I love THQ's games, and will be playing both this weekend.
On SWITCH, I´ll play Slay the Spire (the game I play in bed before sleeping)
Busy weekend, especially today (Saturday). I'll be fitting in some gaming when possible.
Happy gaming!
I’ve got a 3-day weekend and no big commitments for once, so time to indulge in some terebi geemu! 😁
On Switch, I’ll probably try out Tunic or continue with Double Dragon Gaiden or try to finish Lost in Play with the kiddos.
My Egret II Mini beckons, too, as Taito just announced another expansion pack of games coming for it in Japan this Xmas! I’ll play some Qix or Arkanoid, Gekirindan and Gladiator while I pray somehow that Zookeeper will be among the new games this winter.
Wishing everyone a fun weekend! 🕹👾
Yoshi (3DS) - Been hankering to replay this for awhile.
Forza Street (Android) - Can't seem to get the offline workaround running for this.
Imperia Online (Windows Phone) - At the final mission now
@Zuljaras Nice! I missed on the Castlevania collection but snagged the DoomE cart from them. Lrg gets a lot of flak, but I really enjoy getting carts in the mail that I forgot I bought, lol.
Quake 2, TotK, and probably finishing up Gravity Circuit. That last one might sting, cause I've just loved Gravity Circuit and think it deserves a lot more attention...but I'm sure it's going to be slept on until some huge YouTuber tells everyone how amazing it is. Oh well.
@Lony85 I wasn't a huge fan of the tone in FR, but it's a waaaaaay better game than I thought it was at first. Fun puzzles, feels great, and I enjoyed building up my character and fighting.
For the gaming this weekend, I am going to continue my playthrough of Chaos; Head Noah. I have 2 endings complete, I hope to get a couple more this weekend. My goal is to get all nine to get to the true ending. I really have enjoyed this visual novel. I will also do some Zelda Oracle of Seasons……as for Tears of the Kingdom, will get back into that one during the week. I just been in a visual novel kick since completing Scar of the Doll. Well anyhoo, happy gaming everyone!
Mostly gonna be playing Splatoon 3 on Switch thanks to the Splatfest. I still agree with my choice being on Team Love but I REALLY didn’t think about how many mirror matches I’d get, right now I’m sitting at about 50/50 mirror vs real and that’s the worst it’s been for any Splatfest. Still having a good time, just a bit of an unwelcome surprise.
Other than that I’m probably gonna play some Guilty Gear Strive on Xbox. I’ve been getting back into it lately thanks to Evo and I really forgot just how fun it is even though I’m not usually a fighting game fan.
Have a good weekend all!
This weekend I’m keeping my gaming pretty light due to work obligations. That said - I’m working my way through Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the first time on the PlayStation Vita. I have the Platinum trophies for Uncharted 1-4, but never got the chance to play this game.
I have to say - I find this game quite remarkable. For starters, the pacing is top notch. Secondly, I’m surprised by how well the controls are, and how the touchscreen isn’t mandatory for the basics - jumping, shooting, and so forth.
Overall, it’s nice to jump back into this universe, particularly when Nolan North is at the helm. Nathan Drake is such a great character. And most importantly, it still feels like an Uncharted game, with its quirky dialog and humor, despite being developed by another studio (Bend).
I’m hoping this game, along with multiple play throughs to get the platinum trophy, will hold me over until Sea of Stars comes out in a couple of weeks.
Still on my Master Mode run for Breath of the Wild. I’m at around 75 shrines, all but 2 memories found, one row + 6 ish hearts, and starting my third stamina wheel. I also finished the Champion’s Ballad DLC and got the Master Cycle Zero! Other than that, maybe I’ll do another arcade run of Shredder’s Revenge.
Took a break from Hollow Knight and Oracle of Seasons the other week to finish up 100%ing Crash Bandicoot 2.
Since then, I’ve booted up Crash 3. Really enjoying it. Got all crystals, just going back through the levels getting the gems and relics.
So, those are the three games I’m playing currently. Very tempted to purchase Quake II. Will lay of it for the foreseeable as I work down my backlog…!
I played these games. 😊
1. Rabbids: Party of Legends PS4
2. Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME PS2 Japan
Dang...
I have to make a new Ubisoft Connect account in order to play Rabbids Party of Legends.
Not a good way to start the game. 😑
I made a new stepchart based on its new stepchart from DDR Ultramix 4 for the song Ecstasy on DDR EXTREME.
Fight 'N Rage, Kingdom Battle, Guacamelee 2, Pokemon Unite, Spyro - Reignited Trilogy, Crash Team Racing Nitro fueled, and Maybe Blasphemous.
I’ll be playing some Splatoon 3 because of the Splatfest but it’s kind of dull so far since I keep getting so many mirror matches, I may go back to TotK soon although I keep wandering around in it. I should start a NG+ play through of Xenoblade 3 but I’m worried about it getting stale, maybe I’ll just start from scratch? Oh wait, there’s also Xenoblade X waiting for me on my Wii U. I’ll do gaming later since I’m seeing Oppenheimer today, last time I went to the theaters I saw the Mario movie and it’s a definitely change of pace lol
Maybe halfway through Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. Really prefer the job system vs anything I’ve seen in Fire Emblem.
Medusa beat me down in SMT IV, and I’ll exact my revenge sometime this weekend.
Last weekend before IRL stuff to tend to estimatedly pauses my gamer (and, courtesy of local mobile internet coverage, even online) activity for a week and a half, I feel even more inclined to bite at a wide variety of playthroughs on the one hand yet find myself particularly gravitating towards a smaller pool on the other. The usual Xenoblade goodness (including XC3 where I'm simultaneously past the 150 hour mark and, at long last, chapter 4 which had me casually roaming it to and fro for a borderline half of the aforesaid playcount - but the continuous Xenoblade quality plot twists lure me further yet now, and I seem plot-walled from exploring the remaining parts of Keves Castle and Colony 11 anyway), other multitudinous JRPG journeys from MS2, DerQ, Romancing SaGa and Fuga to Symphonia, RF5, TMS and Marie (and that's just on Switch, with plenty more like Endless Frontier, Valentia, Neptunia, FFXIII/XV and Eternia craved on the other platforms), roguelites like Roundguard, Hades and Little Noah, the general Elder Scrolls itch encompassing ESO, Skyrim and Morrowind... and, as per usual behind my lies about "smaller pools", yet other moods like NFS Flashback, Horizon, Valkyria Chronicles, Terraria, Dungeon Munchies, Idolmaster SP and whatnot.😅 Laptop and PS4 backlogs shelved for now although I may yet revisit them early next week before the aforementioned "hiatus", in which case expect a bit of RE2, NFS Rivals, Crew 2, Sakura Wars and possibly Infamous (the latter apparently not among the smoothest RPCS3 experiences on Deck yet) to my list of appetites. Planning is a free action!
I finally finished Tears of the Kingdom last weekend. I'd intended to finish the weekend before, but didn't want to leave Hyrule and spent my time alternating between grinding for a few materials (Lizalfos tails were the worst) and defeating Lynel and Gleeok. It was super fun to get to the point where I could take out a King Gleeok in under a minute. My armour's now all at level three except Fierce Deity and the special armour, which are at four. I hope we get some DLC soonish so I can return.
I had a rubbish week, so for this weekend something relaxing and simple felt sensible. My brother lent me Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which is a bit too easy to be distracting so far, but is still pretty good. I'm hoping it gets a bit harder.
Quake II and Ori 2 on gamepass. On switch oracle of seasons
Because of FOMO for the new game, I decided to play some
Baldur's Gate 1 (enhanced) on Switch.
For my platformer needs I just came as close as I want to 100%-ing Super Mario Brothers U Deluxe so I have moved on to doing the same thing with
Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe.
Finished the story mode of Battle Chef Brigade Deluxe last night. What a thoroughly enjoyable game (notwithstanding the somewhat anticlimactic ending), and there's so much more about that world that I'd like to know. Hope we see a sequel from Trinket Studios at some point.
@JohnnyMind
Yeah I get it I did feel midly annoyed at some points but I'd much rather have them than not, it made me feel more connected to them somehow. I just finished it I was so good <3 I'm struggling to decide if I love this more or Raincode now, I actually think WEC just beats it by a smidge, I wish I'd gotten to it sooner!
I see Alex grinding to get his very best rest with Pokemon Sleep
Switch: Stray Gods
On vacation but still getting in a few Splatfest matches in Splatoon.
I started FFX-2 a few days ago so I'll be continuing with that. May also play a bit of Splatoon 3 for the Splatfest though I can't say I've particularly been excited for Splatoon 3 this season. Hopefully we get more news on Side Order soon.
Theatrhythm Final Bar Line.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, currently stuck in the Fire Temple.
I really miss the dungeons we had in older Zelda games, with mini bosses and big rewards.
Tears and Pik
Imma go play Xenoblade 1 right now!
This weekend will consist of Splatoon 3 for the splatfest, go team love. Afterward I'll be returning to Trails to Azure and listen to Tio spread the holy word of Mishy.
Well I missed last weeks entry of this due to being on vacation but man what a vacation it was. Absolutely excellent and in terms of games I basically played almost all of Ghost Trick and played all of Shredders Revenge. Gotta admit Kate is right Ghost Trick is really good. And EVO last weekend? Just reminds me why I love fighting games so much. Excellent announcements and matches all around man. As for this weekend tho. Well starting with Friday I saw the new TMNT movie and played some Splatoon 3 for the new Splatfest. Team Money baby. Got a couple hours into that which is really all I ever wanna do for Splatfests. I imagine if Splatoon was the only game I owned I would play more but when I got other single player things I wanna do it just kinda slips away ya know? But my vacation wraps up Monday as in going back to work Tuesday and for once I have a genuine game plan like a football coach hahaha. For Saturday we got some Pikmin 4 and Final Fantasy XVI. Sunday is Tears of the Kingdom and Tower of Fantasy. And Monday to finish off the most excellent of vacations will be Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed and King Of Fighters XV to test out the new character NAJD. And probably some time next week I’ll finish up ghost trick as I think I’m pretty close to the end of it. As for the anime this weekend also pretty simple. My Tiny Senpai, Atelier Ryza, Zom 100, Liar Liar, Ayaka, Tenpuru, Yohane The Parhelion and Bungo Stray Dogs. That last one especially is just one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen I’m absolutely in love with it. And finally as for podcasts I think I’ll chill with some absolutely stellar Into The Aether and check out this new podcast everyone’s recommending Remap Radio. Have a excellent weekend and Happy Gaming to all.
Had a good time last night making my friends play Rhythm Heaven Megamix over a few drinks. I’m so close to beating SMTV I can taste it. After that I gotta scratch the fighting game itch I’ve had since evo. Probably gonna be SF6.
@Cashews Have fun! It’s a really good game, XC1 holds a special place in my heart.
Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
This is pretty much the only game I've been playing lately. About to start chapter 16. Lost couple of units in chapter 14. Whose idea was it to combine desert with fog of war? I think I'm at 4 casualties now + the ones I've failed to recruit. The game started off kind of bland but it's gotten better over time.
Finished all of the Pikmin 4 content now looking for the next drop might do FIre Emblem Engage finally.
Brotato is ridiculously addictive just like Vampire Survivors, so I’ve been spending most of my time with that. Elsewhere game time is divided between MDA: Raincode and Baldurs Gate 1. With all the hype surrounding BG3 I figured it was finally time to dive into the series.
Glad to see I'm not the only one still plugging away at TOTK. Also, I've completely ignored Cassette Beasts until seeing that header image. I guess that's another one for the list of games I'd like to try but will probably never get around to.
I finished Fire Emblem Engage earlier this week. I really enjoyed it overall. Although I do feel like there were a bit too many characters. I ended up developing favorites so I would like to maybe replay and use some of the characters that I left on the bench.
I'm now returning to Final Fantasy XIII-2. I'm about 4 hours in and I'm really enjoying it! It's not as linear as the base game and the combat is still awesome. The soundtrack is also amazing but I don't really like how they brought back some type of random encounters. Overall, so far so good.
Return to Monkey Island on my RTX4090FE. Game settings seem limited though. No 4K and you have to unlock fps via hack.
Overwatch 2 baby. New hero is absolutely amazing to play. Digging this seasons new mode as well.
Not that a small little gaming site like this would, ya know, cover huge updates for video games or anything silly like that. Hehe.
Metroid Prime Remastered. Just reached the Phazon Mines.
Right bow I'm on an "errand vacation". My sister went to Houston and I stayed on her house to take care of her pets until next week.
Due to that, I'm playing Pokémon Stadium 2 on the N64 NSO app. I already completed the Pokémon Academy and using just rentals and some save states at the Gym Leader Castle, I made it to Blackthorn Gym, the last Gym before the Elite Four.
That Mind Reader->DynamicPunch Poliwrath is one of the best Pokémon I never used on the original N64 version.
Apart from that, I also thought this was the best moment to get Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 from the eShop and almost complete my classic Mega Man journey.
Capcom games on the eShop (as well as Ubisoft's) seem to be on sale every month.
I played Mega Man 1-7 not too long ago on the Wii U Virtual Console, now I can play 7 again (which I surprisingly liked a lot despite its hard-as-nails Dr. Wily) plus 8, 9 and 10. After 8 but before 9, I'm going back to the Wii U Virtual Console to play Mega Man & Bass, while 11 will be played when I can find a physical copy, same with Legacy Collection 1 Switch.
When I get back home, I can access the Extra Challenges unlocked by using a Mega Man amiibo.
I'll be playing:
Story Of Seasons: A Wonderful Life & Pikachin Kit~ 🤣🥰
Happy Gaming! (^_^)
After having been underwhelmed by the last 3-4 games I’ve played (which were all supposed to be great, based on reviews), it has been a true joy to now be playing TRIANGLE STRATEGY. Wow, this game is fantastic! 10 hours in, and I’m loving every minute of it.
Chained Echoes! A couple hours in and enjoying it a lot so far, waiting to get completely blindsided like every RPG when I finally figure out the systems and realize I've been doing it wrong the whole time.
Plus some Smash Ultimate and Mario Kart with the kids.
Picked up the Physical release of TUNIC this week so thats what im gonna sink my teeth into this weekend, also doing a let's play with some friends on Discord with the TellTale The Walking Dead complete series which is pretty fun, voting for choices and experiencing the story in a big group, good times had by all!
Have a good week everyone, Happy Gaming!
@Li_Bae
Very curious what those games you didn't like were, glad you've finally found a game you love.
It's so annoying when you try something out, especially when you're excited too, only to find it just doesn't click for some reason or another.

"I like it. Simple, easy to remember."
Just started Death’s Door and GRIS. Very much enjoying both so far!
Cheers, everyone!
I finally finished Danganronpa 2!! What an amazing game. Now I'm gonna play Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. It's been sitting in my backlog since it came out, and I'm feeling nostalgic for the Three Houses cast. I'll play on the Golden Deer route first.
Bayonetta 3 all day. Got distracted with TMNT The Cowabunga Collection and Quake, but I'm back on the case.
Street Fighter 6
I'm on vacation this week and wanted to focus on family time so I didn't bring the Switch. BUT! I brought exactly one video game thing: my Gameboy Advance SP and a Mother 3 translation cartridge. Figured I'd play a bit at night and start on this game I've wanted to play forever with no other games to distract me away.
