Pearl Harbor Trilogy – 1941: Red Sun Rising is the first title in a trilogy of air-combat action games for the Wii™. In the premiere game, which will be available soon on WiiWare™, players will be dropped into the cockpit of famous World War II aircraft and thrown into contested air battles of the Pacific Theater such as Pearl Harbor, Wake Island and Guadalcanal.
The video offers a glance of the game’s action-packed gameplay and aerial combat:

Wow, looking good. Definitely cannot wait to get a shot at this.
That looks freaking amazing! LOVED the animated thing at the start of the video, that was super pretty.
That looked amazing!
Wahey! I've been so quiet for soooo long:) Good to see you chaps like it. I'm absolutely buzzing over the trailer.
Another game for Wiiware that looks better that some retail games. I have Sky Crawlers and I think this one looks better XD
If it's good, I will buy at least one episode.
Looks sweet! I just hope it controls well.
It's like I've always said, as pretty as the screenshots are, you really can't beat seeing it in full swing. The video shows how good an engine we've put together, harnessing the awesome power...cough..of the Wii!
That looks awesome for a WiiWare game.
Hmm, I might be getting it, although I'm not a fan of these type of games.
Uh? Why there is a mouse cursor in the inferior right part of the video? XD
Looks good, but a bit TOTALLY AWESOME for a game about real battles. Such is with all war games though I suppose.
Also Pearl Harbour was a bit one sided and Guadalcanal wasn't really an aerial battle to be included in an aerial combat game. Wake Island or Midway would make sense I suppose.
Cell shaded intro and the bullet casings are pretty cool.
I'm still playing "The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces", if you can believe that (I'm now tribute making songs for it...yep, I'm THAT out there) but Im sure that unless somethign goes terribly wrong, I will be picking this one up. =)
Well, NOW I know why everyone's so excited for this. It looks great!
Well, if this wasn't already number one on my WiiWare list, it is now. GREAT JOB, LEGENDO!
It looks too good to be true, for a Wiiware title that is - all that from a WiiWare download.
I hope the game has some substance. Great graphics but not at the cost of gameplay. I hope this doesn't have five minute missions in restricted zoned arenas with repetative missions. Or worse only a couple of missions.
Does anyone know the controls used? (i.e. wiimote, nunchuk, classic controller, or gamecube controller)
Looks wonderful, but I'm a bit worried about repetitivity. Are there any stealth or bombing missions in it? And there won't be any multiplayer in the first episode, will there?
This game looks like an Xbox 360 game! What I mean is that it looks really good!
"Uh? Why there is a mouse cursor in the inferior right part of the video? XD" HAHAHAHA I didn't see that before...Someone forgot to move the mouse when recording footage! lol
"Does anyone know the controls used? (i.e. wiimote, nunchuk, classic controller, or gamecube controller)"
I can't remember exactly what the controls were but there were multiple choices. I believe classic controller was one of them. They learned their lessons from Three Musketeers.
I rarely use WiiWare now, but I"ll get this to show my support. It looks fun!
inless i can play as the japanese then i still don't care
This looks very good for WiiWare. Sure it'll be expensive tho
@bestbuck: we were told in the forums by their rep, eripmav, that they don't want to charge anymore than 1000. they told us they were even considering 700 or 800 points... so it shouldn't be all that expensive.
Yep, but unfortunately Nintendo has the final say in the matter.
Either way, I would be good with 1000, even 1200, but 1500 I wouldn't rush out to buy a new card right away. If it is 1000, I'll have enough left over to get Cave Story too
You can play both the Japanese and Americans. Though because it's a trilogy I don't know if one has more attention than the other in this.
Yeah, they asked for a price from us and we all said 700-800 because Legendo isn't as big as Nintendo or say the World of Goo guys, but unfortunately Nintendo will probably stell them it's a 1000-1500 point game. I'll still get it.
I can't believe how well done the visuals are! If the price is right, I may be picking the trilogy up.
Wow, that was a very impressive trailer! Nice job Legendo! I really hope this game doesn't exceed 1000 points per episode. The Tales of Monkey Island chapters sell at that price point so this game should too.
looks absolutely amazing, you guys at Legendo look like you put a lot of effort into this
now if only more Wiiware and RETAIL developers could put more work into their games
Impressive, Hopefully there will be enough content to warrant a purchase.
Wow! This looks like a WWII version of a Rogue Squadron game.
I still highly doubt this will see a release in Japan, but with the ability to also play as the Japanese (any kamikaze missions?), it might actually be possible to get a Japanese release.
Thanks guys, positivity always sets me up for a comfy night's sleep:)
Yes, you can play as both sides. Control schemes we'll have support for Wii Remote, Wii Remote and Nunchuk and the Classic Controller
It'll contain as much as a full disc based game and some:)
Looks fun hope there is multiplayer.
@Turtlelink
Ep1 won't have MP but we are going to do it for Ep2 or 3, we don't know which yet!
WiiWare?!?! Wow!
Bring it on! I can't wait. It looks INCREDIBLE! Another WiiWare must!
What about GameCube controller support?
Looks okay for a WiiWare game. But this type of games doesn't interest me at all. So, if you produce more episodes I'm not interested in any of them, sorry. Hope you will make something different soon. Kinda liked The Three Musketeers.
The cell-shaded look is completely awesome! The ingame graphics are great too, but I think they should go with that cell-shaded look! Wow that cell-shaded look really is good!
Online?
Must take up a fair few blocks. The graphics seem unbelievable for wiiware. My personal favorite wiiware game so far is probably Swords & Soldiers. Classic!!
@ThreadShadow We'd love to do it celshaded but the Wii couldn't cope with the level of detail shown in the trailer:(
@JimLad we're looking to do MP in ep2 or 3, we've not decided as of yet.
Now that's how you make a trailer. I haz tingles.
Please, please, please offer online support. crosses fingers EVEN if that just means some bloody online scoreboards! Online features simply offer more replayability!
@iAmThetot We won't be having online at all in Ep1. As I said, it's something we're considering for Ep2 or 3. What we've squeezed into the paltry WiiWare file size confines us some what.
@Casualplayer I think that smaller developers like say Ghostfire games and us for example are pushing the boundaries on the Wii to show that it really is a viable gaming platform. There's only so many party games the system can have and it's about time more developers knuckled down and develop serious and honest to goodness games for the system.
Wow, something new, really amazing. Congrats Legendo!
@Opeter Thank you:)
@ ERIPMAV wow Looks so great (fire and framerate) but you guys have a goal: Sky Crawlers. Anyway, a must have for me.
Thanks Leon:) Alot of comparisons have been drawn to Sky Crawlers. In a way, we have the advantage of the historical accuracy and campaigns side. Hopefully these will appeal to a wider audience:)
@ eripmav: Keep the hard work!!!! Good luck. ; )
Thanks Leon, we're ploughing on! The end's in sight!
LOOKS GREAT! I am disapointed with the lack of multiplayer, but the sequels could have it. Once I get a wii points card I'll download ASAP!
PS I am new here.
