I'm more interested in this than Gameloft's other games. I also heard this one has Mii Support, so maybe for now

I don't want to waist my money on a game where you pretty much take a test. I do enough of that in school.

It'll probably be like those "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" style games.

1.000 Points? I could get another Quiz game for 5€ for my mobile! But if you compare it to the 50€ "Who wants to be a Millionaire" costs...

It might be fun with a group of people but alone... this has to suck!

It kinda reminds me of a board game that you play with your entire family, except it a video game. I think it could be fun though, since my family and I play lots of games like this. But for me alone, there are better things to play.

This actually looks like a very tidy and interesting game, with the mii support.. this is the first wii ware titles i wont!

I wisht his were cheaper...1000 points is a decent price, but I'd have to get another card for it...and its not quite worth the trouble...like LostWinds and Earthbound are

1000 Points? Now i'm not to sure whether to buy it. i'd probably have more fun with other games for that many points

"Like Buzz"? Yeah, and like every other one of the billion quiz games that didn't get as overrated as Buzz did. Nothing particularly outstanding about Buzz at all, other than the fact that the first game had ridiculously little variation in the questions department (all questions are about music? Who came up with that brilliant idea?), but that's hardly something to be praised.
Stupid Buzz.

anybody know roughly how many questions are in this game? meaning, how long will i play this game before i start to see the same questions repeated?
13. Objection_Blaster
13 May 2008, 04:34 GMT
there are 3,000 randomly asked questions

it doesn't remember which questions its already asked so you'll probably be repeating sooner than you think

I take it that it won't be translated to the European languages? Then I'll pass, since my family isn't that good in English...

@Objection_Blaster: Thanks for noting that.
I'm not into this title at all and 3,000 questions means expect to get the same questions quickly, I'd imagine. didn't Smarty Pants have over 10,000 questions. Mind you, that game was horribly-priced but at least there was some more substance to it.
I was appaled this appeared at launch, tbh. My sib wanted me to get it but I said I wouldn't bother, especially when it doesn't seem too appealing, not to mention I'm already tight on both points and memory.

@Knuckles- You're welcome.
I think its a decent number of questions for Wiiware, but its no good for me, since you need $40 wiimotes for each player and i only have one.

13 May 2008, 21:22 GMT
True. I have to keep that in mind that it is Wii Ware, heh.
And yeah, obviously, the game is far better playing it with multiple people than solo. I only have two remotes myself but I'd love to have 4 if I had the resources.
What are your overall impressions on it, briefly? Is it so bad everyone should avoid it or is it at least a bit of fun. Mind you, you only tried single-player but still, others should know if they should steer clear I guess. I don't plan on giving this the time of day at all, personally, but not because I'm not appealed by the game. It has some appeal to me but the fact that my sib has Buzz is good enough I guess. Not to mention, I thought Smarty Pants was horrible (rented it just to see how bad it really is and because there was nothing left in the store I believe) so it's turned me off from most Trivia games unless they have some added spark to them that others do not.

@Knuckles
Sorry if my wording mislead you. When I said "its no good for me" I meant that I "wont download it at this time", not "I tried it and it wasnt enough" I think that it's one of those games that you wait on for a while and check reviews such as IGN.COM which already has all wiiware reviews. I belive they gave this a 7-8ish score. This IMO is not a MUST GET NOW title like Defend, LostWind, FFCC are/could be argued as being. Hope that helps!

I got this.
It's pretty awesome. I only played with 1 other person, so I'm sure it'll be great when you have 3 others to play with.
The Mii intergration is awesome. It's always great to see them used, IMO. The questions aren't all easy, but they aren't impossible either.
If you usually have people to play Wii with, then this is a great addition. Sure it's corny, but it could be one of 2 things:
1) The writers for this game are lame
2) It's a mockery of how corny gameshows can be.
I'd give it a 7.5/10

I think this looks really cool can't wait to get it.
Also for anyone who has it is it like buzz on ps2?
23. Adamant

Yes, it's like Buzz. In other words, a generic quiz game. Why would it be different?

15 May 2008, 15:05 GMT
Objection_Blaster: Don't worry. I was not even interested in getting this game at all. I was just saying that what everyone is saying is helping me see I'm making the right choice in ignoring it, especially since I rented Smarty Pants (against my will) and I thought it was horrible, I'm reluctant to try any Trivia Games nowadays unless they offer something much more unique and something to come back to.

Are you going to make it so we can add wiiware games to our collection like VC? I would like that please.
26. KnucklesSonic8
15 May 2008, 19:41 GMT
Yes, they do plan to do that. Naturally, of course
@ Ryan: My sib has Buzz. I enjoy it moderately. The questions aren't properly tailored as this game or Smarty Pants, imo.

I can see this being a mild "Chef's Love Shack" minus the only things I ended up playing that game for... Ass-teroids
@Bobjenkins116 - That is the busiest Avatar I have ever seen. What is it?

I would have given this 7 out of 10 personally. I think it works well although many things could easily been improved the fact is its enjoyable to play especially with friends also with mii support adds a little something too.

A quick heads up to TV Show King fans: the sequel is out soon over here and is pretty cheap. It has better character art, a less pervy cameraman, twice the amount of questions as before, eight categories of question to choose from AND a team mode. £9.99 Play.com (free delveryl)

Not a bad deal on Play then still. I wouldn't usually buy games in Casual series like Playzone but i'd make the exception on TV Show King Party.
